🌱 Cultivation & Preservation

🌱 Growing Tips
Black garlic is made from regular garlic via a controlled fermentation/aging process at 140–170°F over 3–4 weeks. Grow standard garlic first (see Garlic entry).
🌾 Drying & Preserving
Black garlic is a fermented product, not dried. Store as-is once the process is complete. Can be dehydrated and ground after fermentation.
📦 Storage
Unpeeled black garlic keeps at room temperature for up to a month, or refrigerated for 3 months. Peeled cloves should be refrigerated and used within 1 week.
