🌱 Cultivation & Preservation

🌱 Growing Tips
Tea plants (Camellia sinensis) can be grown in USDA zones 7–9 in acidic, well-drained soil. Harvest young leaves and buds. Requires patience — plants need 2–3 years before harvesting.
🌾 Drying & Preserving
For black tea: wither leaves overnight, roll them, allow to oxidize fully until dark, then dry in oven at 250°F for 20 minutes.
📦 Storage
Store in an airtight, opaque container away from moisture, light, and strong odors. Loose leaf tea keeps for 1–2 years; tea bags for up to 2 years.
